Catch up!

I've fallen off the blog writing for awhile now.  So I'll start with February.  I took Riley with me to visit my friends in WA.  Oh how I miss that place.  Of course I had to take a picture of Mt. Rainer from the plane, I sure do miss seeing it.  I got to hang out with all of my favorite people all weekend.  I had such an awesome support system up there, I didn't realize how amazing until I left.  We ate, hung out, and talked all weekend, it was perfect.
Owen's 2nd birthday was February 25th, the same as my dad.  We had a little party for him at home and then went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner.  They sang a little Yee Haw song for him and he just had the funniest face trying to figure out what was going on.  He's such a sweet boy, I hope he stays that way forever.  He loves his sisters, always has funny things to say, and I swear he needs to be in a BabyGap ad :)

Thanksgiving and Christmas all in one

I'm so behind, I don't know why I can't find the time to update! So Thanksgiving we went to my friend, Kate's house.  She had all kinds of people there and the kids loved the activity.  They made turkey apples and pilgrim hats.  In between Thanksgiving and Christmas we had Ella's birthday, she turned 4! And I didn't take a single picture!  I can't believe it.  We didn't do much, we had a cake which Joey ate with our backs turned, ugh.  We went downtown Littleton and saw Santa come down the main street.  It was freezing but we had a great time.  Then it was our 10th wedding anniversary and my birthday.  My parents watched the kids and we got to stay at Vail for the weekend.  Unfortunately there wasn't any snow, but we made up for it by taking the gondola up the mountain, went to an amazing spa, and saw a movie where they served dinner in the theater!  It was nice to getaway.
Sometime in December we went to a Christmas parade in Golden.  This is where we got married, it's so strange to drive through there again.  The kids got to ride little wagons with Newfoundland dogs pulling them, they were so cute.
Maybe this is why I haven't blogged, there is so much going on for us between Nov-Dec.  Then it was Christmas, it even snowed on Christmas day which was beautiful.  My grandpa who is 96 flew in from Florida along with my Aunt Carolyn.  We spent the day tearing open presents and eating.  Just how it should be.

Birthdays & Thanksgiving

Someday I will be all caught up with this blog.  I think the main reason I haven't updated so much is because my new Iphone has a different cord and I'm too lazy to go buy one!  Anyway, on to the craziness.  Riley turned 7 this November and we had a gymnastics themed party for her and her friends.  They got to flip around for an hour then open presents and have cake.  She had a party like this before when we lived in Gig Harbor.  We always had a double birthday party with her friend Allie since they were only 4 days apart.  It's kinda sad now that it's just her.  I miss my friends so much!
Ella also had a birthday on the 23rd and turned 4!  Sadly I didn't take even one picture.  We just stayed home and sang to her and before we could even cut her cake, our dog ate it!  Go figure.  Someday Ella will get to have a big party with her friends too.

Thanksgiving rolled around and we had dinner with my college friend Kate and her family and friends. The kids made apple turkeys (they were glued to that for over an hour!) and they were sporting some cute pilgrim hats.  Kate is a kindergarten teacher and it shows :)

It's fall already

I love the leaves and their colors in the fall.  It goes by so fast and then they're already on the ground.  Here is our trip to the pumpkin farm and Halloween.  The farm was just a tiny little family farm about 5 minutes from our house.  We painted the pumpkins this year in addition to carving.  Riley's was a witch, Ella's was a cat, and Owen had an airplane.  This year's costumes were Riley as a witch, Ella was goldilocks (although the pics don't show her blond pigtail wig), and Owen was Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates.  Owen was hilarious to watch trick or treating.  He'd run up to the house, squeal when the person came out with candy, and then proceeded to take handfuls before running back to the wagon.  I think it's his favorite holiday so far.
