New York, New York!

The Brooklyn Bridge
I'm back...it was a great break from my "mom" life and reminded me so much of the times I lived in the city.  I stayed with my sister, Megan, who lives in Brooklyn.  We walked a billion miles a day (okay maybe not a billion, but I haven't walked that much in so long!).  We saw the Museum of Modern Art which had a Tim Burton exhibition, too bad we couldn't take pictures.  We saw the Blue Man Group and Mary Poppins on Broadway.  Megan's friend Aaron took us shopping and I practically ended up with another suitcase full of clothes, I felt like I had my own personal stylist ;)  He was super sweet and even took me out on Valentines' Day while Megan worked.  The 90 minutes yoga class we took up by NYU was amazing and even better were the scones and tea at the cozy tea shop down the street.  There were so many picturesque moments not to mention the picturesque food.  Thank you Megan for letting me relive my single days, enjoy every minute.  Love you.

Sisterly Love

In time for Valentine's day I thought I'd post some pics of the girls at their best. They get along most of the time, with an occasionally spat throughout the day.  It makes me so happy to see them love each other.   I'll just have to frame these pictures and put them in their rooms when they're teenagers.

Our single ladies (part 2)

Our Single Ladies

I've seen all those babies online dancing to Single Ladies by Beyonce and thought it would be funny to see what Ella would do. It's so funny how babies love this song. Riley is also seen trying to copy Beyonce's moves. I posted two videos because I couldn't choose which was funnier.

Ella rockin out

So Ella's cousin Lydia got this toy for Christmas. Ella pushed her out of the way every time she saw it. I think she may like all the attention ;)

I'm still here

Wow, that's the biggest break I've taken since starting this blog.  I guess I got all wrapped up in everything going on over the holidays.  We took a long plane ride to Ohio to stay with my parents for Christmas.  My sisters, aunts, grandpa, cousins, 2nd cousins and friends were there.  It was crazy with everyone there, but lots of fun to see everyone.  The girls were completely spoiled with so many gifts.  Riley thinks that there are at least 3 days of Christmas since we opened presents on the 23rd, 24th, and 25th!  After we got home and adjusted back to routines Riley and I had the following conversation:
Riley:  "After weeks and weeks at home, I want to go on vacation"
Me:     "Where are we going to go?"
Riley:  "Aunt Erin's house!"
This child is a professional traveler, I think I'll skip out on that 6 hour flight for now.
