Pickles and Lemons

While we were in Rockport, we went to New Hampshire to visit a children's museum. We stopped to get a bite to eat and while we waited for our food Ella entertained us!

We just got back home from visiting my sister, Erin in Rockport, MA. We got to meet the girls new cousin, Lydia. I think Riley adored her and Ella, well, she wanted to eat her head. We had lots of fun hanging out at the beach, shopping, cooking out in the backyard, and boating (well, that was mostly Jarom and Riley). Lydia is a little grumpy most days (thanks to her father's genes), but we did see a couple smiles ;) Riley had a lot of fun riding around the backyard in her Escalade, although she made it a point that the next time she visits she would like a silver one. Thank you Erin and Sean, I promise to book a non-stop flight directly to Boston next time.

Camping...for one night ;)

Our mansion tent

Playing Rummy w/ Matt
Regina

This weekend was our first attempt at camping with the girls. Everything started out good until it was bedtime. Riley didn't fall asleep until 11pm and everytime Ella woke up to eat, Riley was up talking to her. So we got about 5 hrs of sleep. It just went downhill from there. Jarom took Riley to the playground and on the way she fell and scraped both knees. She whined and cried all day saying she wanted to go home. The campground we went to wasn't what I expected (small, no grass, crowded) so although we had good company (thank you Matt & Regina) and very good food it was just too much for the girls. So we left Saturday night to get a better night sleep in our own beds! We'll try again soon, but this time we'll go to the state park 5 minutes from our house.

Horsey and Hair

I love when the girls play, even though Ella is only 8 months old she lights up when Riley comes into the room. Riley can make her laugh even through tears. So here is a video having some fun around the house and another pic of a Riley hairdo.

Standing on her own

Ella just won't give up this wanting to walk at 8 months idea. All she ever wants to do is pull up on things. Lately she's pulling up and just letting go, she's actually able to balance herself for about 10 seconds! This video doesn't quite show how long she can stand, but it was cute anyway.

Summer fun

Merry go round at Seattle Center

Showing off one of her new hairdos

So lately we've been trying to get out everyday since it's been so beautiful, this has been one of the best summers since we've lived here. I can't remember the last time we saw rain. So here are just a few pics of the girls and Ella's first swing ride.

Bias?

Look at those eyes!
Ok, I'm sure that all moms think their kids are the cutest on the planet, but I'm just amazed at how beautiful my babies are.
