Easter Bunny

The only shot I got for Easter was this one with Jarom & Riley.  He had to dress up for work and we did an Easter egg hunt there.  One of the nurses saw Jarom skipping down the hallway with an Easter basket and said "He must be such a good daddy if he's skipping down the hall dressed like that!"  I said "Yes, yes he is."

I got some cute pics of Ella, knowing that I need to keep up so she isn't mad at me later for not having enough baby pics ;)  Tomorrow we're looking forward to the "Easter bunny" aka Daddy to hide all the eggs Riley made.

SUN!

It's a miracle, the sun has arrived.  It was almost 70 yesterday so we had to get out of the house. We took the dogs to the dogpark and let them get all their energy out.  It was the first time poor Ella's feet had ever seen the sun.  I'm sure it won't last so might as well enjoy it while we have it.

Ella's Blessing

This past week Jarom's parents came to visit.  We had a really good time with them, THANK YOU!  Ella was also given a beautiful blessing by Jarom on Sunday at church.  She was wearing Tamara's dress (Jarom's sister) that she was blessed in.  It'll be an empty house this week without the grandparents around.

Sleep...interupted

As most moms can relate, most of the time we don't get enough sleep.  This was my problem last night.  We moved Ella into her room permanately so now I get up to feed her in the middle of the night.  So at 1am and then again at 5am, I went in and fed her.  Finally getting her back to sleep by 5:45 I went back to bed.  At 6:15, Riley started yelling "Daddy, daddy"over and over again, so Jarom went down to get her.  All the while I hear every move they make, letting the dogs out, running up the stairs, getting her food ready, etc.  I think I finally fell back asleep at 6:45 when Mia started barking from downstairs...afraid she'd wake Ella I ran down there and yelled at her.  When I made it back Jarom was trying to be funny and said "Did you beat her?"  Unamused I tried to fall back asleep.  At 7am, the cat started banging on our closed door.  Really?  Is this really happening!  Jarom got up and opened it.  Ok, maybe I can go to sleep before Ella is up again.  WRONG!  Almost asleep I hear Riley in the living room rattling some toy.  I jump out of bed, stomp into the living room and take the toy away.   I glance at the clock, 7:30.  UGH!  I go back to bed only to have Jarom get up and start his daily routine of getting ready for work.  I hear everything, shaving, shower, music, drawers opening...  8:30am, Jarom leaves, I fall asleep, and Ella is up at 8:45am.  

IS THIS A JOKE?  NO, this is my life.

Keep Calm and Carry On

As most of you know I won a notebook from the Meanest Mom contest (THANK YOU!), the title of it is KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON.  Doesn't that say it all, especially when you're trying to figure out what happened to your sweet sleeping baby who now fusses and cries every night until she and I exhaustedly fall asleep at midnight.  I just have to keep telling myself to Keep Calm and Carry On, eventually this too shall pass....right?
